My favorite place to get Korean tofu soup! I've been going here ever since I was little and recently they remodeled. The interior looks nice and clean. The food doesn't take too long to come out and service is quick as well. My go to order is the kimchi tofu soup with the Bulgolgi combo. It's one of my favorite comfort meals. You definitely get a lot for what you pay. I think it's worth especially with the side dishes. There is lots of parking which is great.

Great food, friendly service, clean restaurant. The soon tofu is some of the best I've ever had. Very flavorful. I got mine with dumplings, which were perfect. All the side dishes were delicious, including the fish. Looking forward to coming back to this location since the Torrance location is closed.

Nothing feels better and more satisfying than a hot stone pot of tofu soup (especially as it gets colder). ChoDang has become a favorite for us after moving to OC for the consistent high quality meals and delicious banchan. This time around, I eas really surprised by the mala tofu soup! Flavors were amazing and perfectly spicy and numbing. I love it especially when food comes out sizzling hot! Reminds me of home and is always a good sign. 100% coming back. What we ordered: - Mala Tofu Soup + LA Galbi Combo - Bulgogi Bibimbap - Seafood Pancake

Picked up father in law from Los Alamitos Hospital from his procedure, he was loopy after his procedure and couldn't drive. My husband and I were hungry, so suggested by father in law to go to this restaurant for lunch. My father in law said my mother in law loves this tofu place. We ordered two item because my husband and I have an all you can eat in a few hours. Our waitress was a bit upset that we ordered two items for 3 people but we don't want to be full prior to all you can eat. Service was alright, Korean waitress was a bit stand off ish when we ask for another bowl for sharing. But she did refill our banchan once but not our water. Food was definitely good. My father in law said it is a very busy restaurant but we went at 2:45pm and there was no one there. We were the customers until another table came. We ordered the soft tofu combo with bulgogi, really enjoyed the mixed tofu soup. It has several clams, fish, tofu, shrimp. Bulgogi flavor was good, not too sweet. My husband ordered the Mala Sofu tofu soup. That was unique and new to me, definitely a little numb spicy. It was delicious. Ambiance is a typical Korean tofu soup shop. Right next to luv duk, another Korean place I've been wanting to try. Overall, it wasn't so bad of an experience but it was not a best. It is a 3.5 star experience if the waitress was so rude about asking for the another bowl for sharing.

We went for dinner and had an wonderful experience. There is plenty of parking. The interior is very simple and feels like home. We ordered a bottle of soju and Korean rice wine. I can't remember having Korean rice wine before and it was a little more creamy than Japanese rice wine, so I liked it even more. All the machan was amazing. We ate everything. The fish was nice and crisp. Kimchi is my favorite and it was delicious and crunchy, just the way that I like it. We started with a seafood pancake. It was huge, like the size of a large pizza. Super tasty, crispy and we had to take home leftovers. Next up was the bulgolgi bibimbap. It was a large portion and was dense and flavorful. The last thing we got was the army stew. It could have feed an army. Such a massive portion. The flavors were all fantastic. Service was friendly and polite. Large portions of food to share with family and friends. It felt like home comfort food. And they are open late.

This place is definitely Korean comfort food! The flavors are so good! The restaurant is small and clean. The service is friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking to be had. Everything we had was delicious with authentic Korean flavors. I always love all the traditional Korean side dishes. They do not skimp and even have two small fish! So many places have removed that from the sides offered. They have lunch combos available M-F.

My friend recommended me this place. There isn't great soondubu in San Diego, but since I'm in this area, I am down to try. Small place but looks like it can hold a lot of people. You get a tiny house salad to start your meal. And don't get me started with the banchan! I've never seen so many side dishes for a tofu soup place! It came with the usual pickled stuff and fish cake.. BUT seaweed paper AND fried fish?! That's bomb! I got the Kimchi Tofu Soondubu, level spicy, and added mushrooms for an extra charge but I didn't mind. This soup was super flavorful! I love the punchiness of the kimchi. And adding that egg in is so satisfying when it drops into the soup. You can gauge how long you want it to be. I love eating it towards the end with the last bit of soup broth. Service was great and they are very speedy on the food.

I've only tried their hot stone beef bibimbap so far but I would definitely come back to try more of their dishes. Banchan is complimentary and the staff is very sweet, asking if you would like more. The bibimbap was plated beautifully, it was a good portion for only $16 since I've been to places in ktown that have bibimbaps for $20+. They have a gochujang sauce on the table so you can totally customize how much you want to add.
